Opera Turbo - tehnologija koja smanjuje velièinu Internet stranica i ubrzava njihovo uèitavanje. Kada ovo ukljuèite u Operi, stranice koje otvarate prvo prolaze kroz Operine servere gdje se kompresuju i tek se onda šalju vama. Mana je što su slike vidno lošije kvalitete. Ne znam kako radi sa videoom. Možda nekome dobro doðe na sporijim konekcijama.

Obnova dizajna - Opera je dobila novu ikonu - izmjenjeno slovo "O". Tu je i cjelokupni osvježeni skin i ikone, a novost je i da iznad tabova postoji wrapper, iznad kojeg se, kada ga povuèete ka dolje, otvaraju prozorèiæi koji pokazuje sliku stranice trenutno otvorene u korespondirajuæem tabu.

Bolje rukovanje Speed Dialom - sada je moguæe proširiti Speed Dial direktno iz Opere od 4 do 25 dugmadi, bez da se mora ureðivati posebna datoteka u Operinom direktorijumu kao prije. Moguæe je i dodati pozadinsku sliku Speed Dialu.

Integracija sa Internetskim mail servisima - klikom na mail link, Opera može automatski otvoriti stranicu za pisanje u Internetskom mail servisu po vašem izboru. Isto se može dobiti i klikom na Compose u Operinom integrisnom mail klijentu.

Integracija sa feedovima - slièno kao i gore, moguæe je konfigurisati Operu da klik na feed dodaje feed u Vaš internetski feed servis.

Polje za pretragu se sada može poveæavati ili smanjivati povlaèenjem lijevo ili desno.

Brže performanse i dodatak podrške za Web Fontove (ko hoæe da vidi kako to radi, može to uèiniti ovdje), RGBA/HSLA boje i SVG unaprijeðenja.

Provjera ispravnosti pisanja rijeèi - pored engleskog, može se preuzeti i podrška za srpski i hrvatski jezik i mnoge druge. Ova provjera radi ne samo pri pisanju na Internet stranicama nego i u mnogim Operinim poljima za upisivanje teksta pa i u Opera Mailu.

Auto-update - kao i Firefox, sada i Opera ima moguænost automatske obnove. Moguæe je konfigurisati i to da se preuzimaju i neslužbene razvojne verzije na opera:config.

Obogaæeno ureðivanje maila - Opera Mail sada posjeduje dugmad koja omoguæavaju korisniku WYSIWYG ureðivanje poruka uz pomoæ XHTML-a. Takoðer, moguæe je podesiti da Opera Mail automatski izda komandu za brisanje poruka sa servera nakon odreðenog broja dana.

Automatsko prijavljivanje grešaka pri padu programa, nakon èega slijedi ponovno podizanje programa i povratak svih otvorenih stranica.

Opera Dragonfly poboljšan - dodano ureðivanje DOM-a i pregled headera XHTML dokumenata.

Opera Unite - Operin odgovor na Googleov Wave. Osim toga, ovo vam omoguæava da uz pomoæ Opere pretvorite svoj kompjuter u web server. Opera æe za vas generirati link, koji kada se otvori sa nekog drugog raèunara, može biti stranica koju održavate na vašem kompjuteru, zatim stranica preko koje se može slušati selekcija muzike preko ugraðenog playera, ugraðena chat funkcija (otvaranjem odgovarajuæeg linka u svom browseru druga osoba dobiva polje za upis nicka, nakon èega ulazi u chat sa vama).
